I'm proud if my greenhouses too in the summer, it's great. If I didn't like meat I could be self sufficient. I grow my own spuds, carrots, garlic, parsnips and last year for the first time asparagus. In fruit I have apples, strawbs, rasps, black currant and berries and cherries

T v M list (presumably 12-16 Dec.)
None of these are confirmed prices on the PP site - prices were taken from looking at the shelf in M last Wednesday
Bakery
Brioche Milk au Lait Brioches (8) - T £1.59 M £1
Hovis Med Sliced Soft White Bread 800g - T £1.10 M £1
Hovis Thick Sliced Soft White Bread 800g - T £1.10 M £1
T Eday Value Chocolate & Vanilla Swiss Roll - T 25p M 25p (does this compare on T PP anyone?)
T Eday Value Malt Loaf - T 28p M 28p
T Eday Value Raspberry Swiss Roll - T 25p M 25p
Fruit & Veg
T Cox apples bag - £1.50 £1 - would buy at A (vs M) if they didn't keep being absent from MSM (but gone off £1 apples bags after Aldi/Lidl was 69p recently)
T Royal Gala pack £2 £1 (this is a risk as T's bags appear much larger than M's and are £2 if it doesn't work - but I've included them on the basis of a previous glitch when A's Golden Delicious 750g bags were £1 several months ago, T's G D apples were 1kg packs, and more expensive, but were comparing against the A version)
T Parsnips 500g - T £1 M 50p (MSM showing A OOS for me - 98p in A; would buy in A if A CBY Parsnips 500g can be found)
T Red Plums - Punnet - T £1 M £1 (but M plums punnet is 8 plums - so may be cheaper straight from M)
Ready Meals
Ginsters Cornish Pasties (4 - 520g) T £2.69 M £2
Ginsters Steak Slices (4 per pack - 420g) T £2.69 M £2
Rustlers BBQ Rib Sandwich 170g T £2 M £1
Rustlers The Chicken Sandwich 150g T £2 M £1
Packets & Cereals
Honey Monster Sugar Puffs (320g) T £1 M £1 (but nowhere near as good as Sugar Puffs 450g in A which were £1 earlier this year, before rising a few months ago briefly to £2.48 then falling back to £1.50 where they have stayed ever since - nonetheless £1 for 320g Sugar Puffs seems now best you can get)
T Eday Value Cornflakes 500g T 31p M 31p (or T v S same price, T v A as A does not stock 500g version; or Sains Brand Match vs T or A as same price and can be used as a filler or buy A Smartprice Cornflakes 750g at A as about same price per unit, this in turn could also be used as a filler on an Av T,S,M or W shop)0 -

Just doing my brother a favour. He sells them at his nursery/small garden centre but is running short of 6 foots so is trimming 7/8 foots. He's scared stiff of chainsaws after seeing someone cut their leg through to the bone in a nasty accident a while ago. Hence he won't do it himself.Awaiting a new sig0 -

I really want chickens, but could ot handle if one got ill. Fancy bee's too. I have strawberrys, blackcurrants, apples, raspberrys, plums, gooseberrys, rubarb, pears. Do onions, lost my asparagus, gave up on the rest of the rood veg, so built the 2nd greenhouse where the veg patch was. Love it! When I was younger (not that long ago) I used to tell my parents to tarmac the front garden, but then had a house without a garden, and I think that is what made me appreciate it.fairclaire wrote: »I'm proud if my greenhouses too in the summer, it's great.
