Yes I know I'm way behind and technically today is the last day for putting the tree up without getting bad luck being 12 days before etc but OH has just been up in the loft to retrieve it - and came back down again empty handed claiming "Didn't we throw it out last year because we were going to get a new one in the sales?"

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Why did I not remember??? Now we're going to have to go on a tree hunt tomorrow and get shafted on the price no doubt. Wonder if I could just chuck some fairy lights on my rather large cheese plant? :rotfl:

I resorted to the cheeseplant trick one year when I just didn't have enough room for a tree :) I think I lasted 24 hrs before making room for a tree!

Have Argos still got the half price sale on? I got a lovely 7ft tree last week, excellent quality, for £29.99.
  • Good morning everyone, it is actually 7 degrees C out there, but very windy. Was hoping to cycle into town today but might have to wait till tomorrow if the rain comes in as forecast. Wind I can cope with, rain I can cope with, but wind AND rain on a bike is not a good combination!!

The trail of the joy cards goes on. I have tried 9 shops today. All £3 cards. I think someone got the wrong end of the stick in preston whsmiths as they had taken all the card out of most of the ones I looked at. I can see this being in plastic from now on when freebies are involved. :(

I was looking at a batch in T's last night, all £3 ones apart from 1 which was missing, surely you can buy the magazine if your getting £15 or £100 of free stuff

    Good morning all

Dark, wet and dreary here today.

Just ordered one of the above for my dd. She's turning 2 next month but doesn't shove stuff in her mouth anymore:rotfl: So I think she'll love it. We can then go couponing and glitching together :D

    Off to catch up x
:D Coupons = the only money we can legally print for ourselves:D

:j A coupon for a free item that is price glitched in Mr T's to be cheaper than Sada for an apg = HEAVEN :j

    :money: total = £47.48 cc = 413 selling stuff = £23.00 Floor pennies = £5.79

Tried again this morning and got 'Thanks. We have already received your request and your results will be available soon. Please check your inbox shortly.'

I got that email as well and I can't for the life of me find the receipt  so think I'll need to write that one off, was at least £4 as well :(
That'll teach me to file better in the future!

    Morning all

Like a half sharp knife this morning after being up half the night with DD. She eventually went back to sleep at half 5 after being up since 3am. I didn't even here OH going out this morning to work. Wasn't 'til DD came through at 9 saying she couldn't find her daddy that I realised he was already away.

Don't think we'll be going far today, although I did fancy a wee trip to A's as it's been a while, but don't know if I have the energy for it tbh.
