    afternoon folks :)

just catching up ...been out for most of the day...and have a numb bum from sitting on a kids chair watching DD1 xmas play :D

just a note for David. about Virgin....I rang last week to see if I could get a better deal...apparently they cant give me Sky Movies cheap as they have to pay full price from Sky...and they wont reduce any of my other charges to keep me as a customer so I gave them my 30 days notice ;)

I have 10mb bb, XL tv and free wknd phone package...for £43....but will increase by £3.75 in Feb :(

The chap I spoke to said that in jan and Feb, everyones broadband speed is being doubled at no extra cost....so if you currently get and pay for 30mb...why not ask to drop it to 15 or 20mb to get a discount...then in a couple of months it will be doubled anyway, so you'll still get what you're getting now, but for less money!

I cant get mine any cheaper it seems, and Sky cannot match what I pay, so unless Virgin offer me something, I will be 'changing my mind' about the cancellation in a few weeks :)

hope everyone is well and taking care in the not so nice weather conditions :)

Oh no it isn't (well it is pantomime season:rotfl:) I checked when my area will be upgraded and it's sometime between May 2013 and August 2013. I don't even need/want an upgrade and certainly don't want to start paying for it in February!
    Awaiting a new sig

Let it cancel, a month later they send letter offering 75% for twelve months. However before that they will ring offering other deals...

hmmm...sounds good in theory....but losing the TV and BB for a month :eek: I would miss the BB and the kids and hubby would either kill themselves or each other if the TV was gone :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

hmm.....my stashes may last longer that way though :rotfl::rotfl:

on a more serious note...the price I pay was an offer from 6 years ago which they forgot to change on my account afer 12 months...they told me to get what I have now would cost considerably more (and it certainly would with Sky).....

i might have to phone as a new customer just to see what they could offer for how much, before I actually cancel, just to see if its worth it ;)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
