That seems a very reasonable price for getting away to Greece Dinah. I bet the 3 of you will have a ball!
What is DFD are you aiming for at the moment? I was aiming for Dec 2013 but I don't think that will be happening nowTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I really ought to look into swimming too. The pool is about a 3 minute walk from my front door so no excuse not to really.
That is a good price for your holiday.Thought you'd be saying more like £2k.

Have done a bit of money shuffling to try to pay off the Amex, we were over £1000 short but now £792.72 short. Technically I can borrow £250 from an overdraft, and I have £45 coming in from Music Magpie but that still leaves us £497.72 to find by 9th March. Grace's DLA and child benefit come in just after the bill is due, so I could probably borrow that off mum for one week, leaving us only £115 to find...I have some bits on ebay but unless everything sells I doubt I'll make that much..... will have to get a thinking cap on. Urgh, hate being so short of money we have to shuffle it like this.
.
Do you have a Halifax bank account? They offer £100 for switching your current account, apparently it will be on the account within days of switching. You could try that?
I took baby Kavics swimming 2 weeks ago, it was a disaster:o. She screamed. Loudly. Very loudly:o. She was only 12 weeks old and was wearing a wetsuit but the pool was only 30 degrees and she still found it cold. I am taking her again on Wednesday, hope she will get better with age.0 -

Don't really have a date as at the moment with maternity pay as it is I'm grateful if we just don't sink further and can make ends meet (which we have done as we've had to go into the overdrafts again), I feel like we're so close and I'd like to say by our third wedding anniversary in September, but equally we've kind of run out of stuff to sell so I think I'm going to hope to be debt free by Jan 1st 2014, that seems do able whereas if I set September my brain is saying I'm setting up to fail so I know we won't do it as the mindset is all wrong. You'll be doing an amazing job if you did clear £22k in 10 months.I really ought to look into swimming too. The pool is about a 3 minute walk from my front door so no excuse not to really.

Grace was happily playing with ice cubes yesterday, I'm hoping the cold won't scare her. Good luck for Wednesday.

[STRIKE]3. Sit down with NIM and re-do Grace's passport application start to finish. [/STRIKE]
4. Hoover all downstairs
[STRIKE]5. Get 2 loads washed and hung out[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]6. Send some recent photos to both parents in law[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]7. Find NIMs Virgin airmiles number and order Tesco points to it[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]8. Put card in envelope to send back to hotel[/STRIKE]

Couldn't do 4 as the hoover has no suck, again, I hate that thing, any time you use it it looses all function. So I replaced it with one off tomorrows list.
[STRIKE]4. Find Hairy Bikers Tickets
[/STRIKE]
Very, very pleased with myself. Off to bed now as only about 3-4 hours until Grace wakes me up again.... maybe less since she brought back all her bedtime bottle.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Okay, feeling a real glow this morning. Mum asked me to book a hotel in the lakes for 3 nights during her Easter holiday for me her and Grace to go away to. I found a nice one, rooms a bit average but food supposedly excellent, but they had no twin rooms, so I kept hunting because it just wasn't 'it' - and I found an amazing half price deal on her favorite hotel in the world, it's £80 more for the three nights but she's going to be over the moon. Going to pretend I booked the other one, but we're going here, I love surprising people when I know it will make them happy.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
