pipes insurance is it worth it?

Options
My Dad passed away and I have been sorting out his things. my mo thought he had life Insurance but it is only accidental death so pretty useless. He also has several homeserve insurances.
one for Water pipe work but only outside pipes and drains
one for Gas pipe work
one for Electric cables ( i think )

these together come to £27 a month. My Mom is a pensioner and while we wait for probate has limited money. Does anyone think these insurances are worthwhile or shouls we take a risk and cancel them.
As my Dad took them out he was obviously trying to prevent any large bills in case of pipe leaks etc, but are they worth it.

Also Mom has accidental death insurance but reading the details it seems there are many exclusions. is this worth it ( she is 73)

In my mind they are all a waste of money apart from boiler insurance/service pack. Next thing they will be trying to sell us door insurance or ceiling insurance or something else that's not worth having.
    Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.
