Options
hi - i've been given some lloyd loom that belonged to a deceased relative - the bedroom set is a horrible turqouise colour but the gaps in the weave are visible & not clogged so would I be ok to use a spray paint? - the odd chair looks like its been painted many times & no gaps between the weave are visible - whats the best way to strip the paint?

I used to have a loyd loom chair in the same colour. I made the mistake of painting it with a paint brush. How stupid am i. I the was given a loyd loom washing basket. Knew better that time and sprayed it. Just spray a light caoting. Leave to dry and then do another. Leaving to dry inbetween. This will ensure you get good results.
    Hope this helps.

Like emily, I've always spray painted lloyd loom furniture. It's best if you can do it outside & put down plenty of dustsheets to absorb the mist from the paint.

Regarding stripping the paint from the clogged chairs, why not contact the manufacturer for advice https://www.lloydloom.co.uk
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • as I didn't know it was still being produced I didn't even think of checking they had a website - many thanx for that
