Can't load photos onto my laptop

I have a Fujifilm Digital Camera A350Finepix which I haven't used for a long time but there are some photos on it which I would like to put on my laptop (Dell Inspiron) (Windows 7). I have tried to install the CD which came with the camera but am unable to do so because it must be used on a computer with XP. Do I forget all about it and throw the camera away or is there some easy way (I'm not technically minded) to get around the problem? Thank you.

If you download and install the software in the following link, this should be a windows 7 compatible version.

Camera card out of the camera, into the PC, if you havent got a card reader in your computer you can buy one of a couple of quid these days that plugs into your USB port.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Two possible ways around this. Firstly, just connect you camera via a USB lead to your computer and wait for Windows to find/load drivers for it. If this works OK, go to Start > Computer and see if the camera shows up as a new drive. If it does, click on that drive until you find the folder where your photos are stored - often the folder is called DCIM. Copy them onto your hard drive.
Failing that, see if you can see where the memory card slots into the camera. Pop it out (it will be an Xd card). If you haven't got one, you can buy USB card readers very cheaply (under £3). You could then plug this card reader into any spare USB slot and you will see all your pics.

Thank you all for your help. I have managed to download and install the Windows 7 version and have now got the photos on my laptop into 'Pictures'. So far so good and miraculous. However, I would now like to send 3 of these photos to Friday-ads where they ask you to upload them. The 3 photos have references under them: DSCF0274, DSCF0275 and DSCF0276 but when I type these in, the computer says, File not found. Any suggestions, please, as to where I go from here. Thank you.0

There should be a "browse" button next to the upload box. Click it, then navigate to the Pictures folder on your PC. Click on the file name (or thumbnail) of the first photo. Click Open. This will fill in the upload box with the path to the photo. If the upload form has multiple lines to allow upload of multiple files at the same time, repeat above steps for the other two files. When ready, click upload. How do I add a signature?0 -
Thank you, Figment, all sorted now successfully. Really grateful to you.0

Just as an aside, now you have your pics on your computer, if you right click on them, go down to 'rename' and you can call them what you want, easier to find an individual one later when you look for them.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
