Loft aerial,multiple tvs,itv digibox--help please

Options
I have an ITV digibox connected to the livingroom tv which gives good reception. How do I improve reception on the 3 other tvs in the house?
I have a loft aerial and am 18 miles from the transmitter if that helps. I will need to get a tv engineer to do any work but want to know what I need so I don't get ripped off!
Many thanks

Mrs C

You need an aerial distribution amplifier in your loft that splits the signal four ways to go to each TV, then if you want Freeview on each you will need another three Freeview boxes.
Personally if I was getting an engineer in I'd get a decent outside aerial fitted at the same time.

PS your old ITV digibox may be getting a bit out of date by now and could do with replacing.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Penrhyn's advice is sound, although he forgot to add that you should use double-screened (satellite) cable for digital.

@Cledor, I'm not keen on the "eye candy" amplifiers sold by DIY stores. They often have poor specifications but the average "punter" doesn't realise. The noise figures tend to be high and they may be susceptible to overload with strong signals. I've also found them somewhat unreliable.
