Blackberry playbook sold with Norton tablet security...

My O/H has bought me the playbook from PC World, he also bought the case. The offer being case half price, the assistant (if you could call him that) didn't know anything about it! Even when we pointed it out he still wasn't convinced....then he produced a slip of paper for Cloud Services and the Norton Tablet Security for £10. Assuring us that with all the viruses etc and tablets being so susceptible to them it would be a good thing to have. So O/H said ok.
So assistant toddled off to get the goods having escorted us to a seat. When he came back and proceeded to input the purchases into the screen, he seemed quite surprised that the case was in fact half price!
I had by this time noticed that the Norton product (in very very small print) said'works with Android 2.2 or later tablets' , so i queried what he had said about it working on all tablets, in fact I asked him twice and each time he insisted that it was suitable.
It was pretty obvious he knew nothing about Blackberrys and I wasn't 100% convinced of his knowledge of Norton either, so anyway it was bought, as well as the 3 year warranty.

Once home, I have had chance to look properly at the norton box and I can see no reference to anything other than Android.
So I'm going to go back ....and get a refund (unless anyone can tell me that he is in fact right)

A cursory search reveals that those idiots have been mis-selling it with Playbook(s) for a while.
  • Plenty of cloud services out there that are free. Like dropbox.

  • Luckily I didn't open it........as i wasn't convinced it was the right product, O/h will be pleased if he gets a tenner back, though not pleased at having to go back again.:D
