I know I have asked this before but can anyone tell me why the calculator keeps showing that we would get this 37.30(third line) This is based on my husband working 16-29 hours,DLA middle and lower care,my carers allowance and his wage of 90.00.He would qualify for the disability premium also.

Perhaps because he is on a low income?
My BIL is on Income Support and gets DLA. He doesn't work however.0 -
But they can't give us income support if we get tax credits!0

You can sometimes claim IS and JSA and get WTC, if your part of a couple, the partner can work (IIRC) up to 24hrs. Its only occasional circumstances where this can happen though.
I haven't got the CPAG book to hand but Iam sure thats the correct details.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
Your due from Income Support?
Couple rate £92.80
Disability Couple rate £36.00
Carer Premium £27.15
Earnings disregard £20.00
Total due £175.95
Less income/s
Earnings £90.00
Carers Allowance £48.65
Total deducted £134.65
Income Support due weekly £ 41.30
You would only get this if he worked under 24 hours
It would not be paid if he claimed tax credits as this would give about another £110 weekly0 -
I still don't understand, will we get this extra £37.30 or do I just ignore it? I don't see how they would give us this money if we were getting tax credits. He would be working around 16 hours with 90.00 wages, my carers and child benifit. He would get the disability premium because he gets DLA.0

If you are confused, the local CAB will explain it all to you.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
