Is it possible to run safe mode from cmd?

Using windows 7, blue screen of death preventing from loading OS up. Trying to start in safe mode, custom build PC so F8 opens BIOS info but I don't seem to be able to access it in there.....

I can however open up a cmd box which I have ran dskchk's on all drives and no errors have been found so far, is there a command to reboot in safe mode?

Exit it the BIOS and start tapping f8 again. It should take you to the advanced boot options.

Am I correct in assuming you are at the Advanced Boot Options screen, which is giving you access to the cmd line?
If not, then how have you accessed the cmd line?

Lastly, F8 is normally the correct key for safe mode, so try holding it down or tapping it like a manic woodpecker.
If you have a dual boot system, then select O/S then immediately hit the F8 key.
