Help with downloading drivers.... Need to update a few things...

My graphics card seesm to be rubbish and I cant play some games and wondered if trying to download some drivers would help? the driver date on it is 10 years ago? I have had the PC 2 years. Anyway can someone help?

Try here..

it will give u an idea of what drivers need updating.. then do a search via Googler to find your driver if you dont want to use the freeware.

I've downloaded this and now everything seems a bit smaller although thats ok as its nicer, but still cant play the sims? Everythings working ok and downloading that driver seems to have solved a problem there was but still no sims arghhhhh lol

I suspect you need more ram in the PC....
click on the start button

then "right click" on "my computer"

then click on "Proerties"

it should then open a new screen with some info about windows and at the bottom right it tells you how much ram, what does it say ??

192 MB of RAM, thats really bad isnt it.

The sims complete collection takes up a massive 3,352.00MB

it means you only have 256 mb of RAM in the PC

off to check the minimum requirements for the sims

it's needed for the game (you seems to have enough ram)

its "the Sims" and not Sims 2 ??

Yes the sims 1 this one i have got with all the expansion packs included

should run in that ram , but reading around the on motherboard graphics card you have , it may not ...

have you updated directx ??

might be worth trying to shut down your antivirus and firewall by "right clicking" and closing them down...then try to run the game again (no problem as long as you disconnect from broadband while playing)

Yes updated direct x now. Ok will try turning off my security
