how much have/will you spend today??? - sat 21st

good morning lovely dfw's!!!

it's a bit drizzly up here today, but it's stopping me wanting to go outside so I'm at risk of actually having to do my essay's for english

well last night I spent £16.30 on my night out and £1.99 in asda on lunch/munchies at work. :D

today I will need to go out at some point, might pop into town briefly and buy a couple of bits from my treat money (still not spent a penny of it!!!) and will need to pick up a couple of bits from boots. Also looks like I'm going to need to do food shopping today instead of tomorrow as I've no milk, bread, brekkie stuff......basically very little food! came home at 1am last night and ended up makin macaroni cheese cause I was pekish :rotfl:

so how are you guys planning on spending your saturday???

    Going shopping. :D

For food, espec veg. I have nothing edible and plant-like in the house apart from onions. Even I would balk at a pure onion dinner.

I may also look for some beer... :D

I'll let you know how I get on.

I plan on staying here all day today (my house that is!)

Have spent 59p on a loaf of bread cos stupid me forgot to take the frozen loaf out of the freezer lasts night. Can't spend anything else as I have nothing left in my purse and there is nothing I want/need to spend it on.

OH on the other hand is currently driving to Bristol to buy a new car. So although he is spending lots today, the money will be replaced when the current car is sold (selling up to make insurances etc cheaper!) so does this count then?????

I so could not do this...there is very little I need to survive, but lots I need to make me smile...besides this money was given to me on the strict orders that I treat myself, I've just not had the time to spend a day in town and decide what I want and I'd rather have it sitting here for weeks than waste it on crap.

Well today is grocery shopping day .... so I have spent:

£16.92 in Tesco (story to follow)
£2.94 in fruit & veg shop
£1.89 in co-op (forgot to buy juice in tesco  )

Tesco was so unbelievable today. We didn't need much anyway, some stuff in the freezer to use up, tea at parents tonight and hubby on lates this week. I thought we would spend about £25-30 as I bought some multipack sweets for the kids to get them out of the habit of the sweetie shop everyday (costing about 85p a day).

Got to the checkout and hubby was packing as I was unloading. I got down the other end and noticed that the sub-total seemed a bit low, but there was more shopping to come so didn't think too much about it. The girl then said that her scanner wouldn't scan our fromage frais - so she called someone over and they sorted it, so she carried on scanning the shopping. The total came to £16.92 - so I paid up and we went back to the car thinking how excellently we had done this week (I must admit, we didn't need much). I sat in the car on the way home looking at my receipt as I do every week to make sure I haven't been overcharged ;) and noticed that the cheese was missing off the receipt. Got home and unpacked, and checked it all off the receipt and noticed that the cheese, mince, corned beef and coleslaw was all missing off the receipt :o

It would seem that the scanner had stopped working before she had realised it, but she never queried it or asked to check what had gone through out of our trolley. So, consequently, we have got £4.03 of cheese, 2 lots of corned beef (78p each), mince (£1.40) and 2 lots of coleslaw (20p each) free!

Should I be honest and phone them up and tell them?

You know you've become MS obsessive. When....

Got back from Asda t'other day proudly showing off the six cans of tuna which were a bargain. "Not so", says OH, it was two, six packs for £4 and you paid £3.48 for one six pack. Promptly returned to Asda today, to collect missing Six pack of John West Tuna. No problem says the nice lady 52p please.

    Total spend 52p :p:D
