Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Was planning a no spend weekend but mysteriously got paid two days early :j Strange though, since I was in 'no spend' mindset I didn't do my usual payday trick of spending like I'm rich... but only spent what I was planning to do on Monday - £10 weekly shop in Tesco, £1.90 on two weeks worth of hayfever tablets, 99p on some conditioner, £4.99 on reduced TV cabinet in Argos (my tv etc have been sitting on cardboard boxes for about six months :o ), £1.10 on bus fare to get it home, and £1.15 on a Maltesers white ice cream to treat myself for assembling a flatpack thing with no hassles! :D

Ice cream melted and fell off the stick in the five minutes walk back from local shop so that's what I get for being frivolous

£51.44 on weekly grocery shop (stocking up on a few things so it was higher than normal) & 36p on a can of beans from shop across the road (don't ask!).

The £2 in town as I had a £10 Pigsback voucher for John Lewis but the item I was buying was £12.

    That's it today.

  • £50 on shopping (2 people, 5 pets) really pleased as have managed to stick to that budget for 2 weeks, always set £50 as budget and previously always gone over.

£15 on petrol, used to spend £20, but due to work places changing (2 school sites, no longer need to access 2nd site) save myself £5 every week.

Put away £70 for virgin bill (always over estimate), rang to pay, told it was £53.56 (£16.44 saving) also switched to direct debt, saving £5 a mth.

2 things going to sell on ebay in under an hour, looking at one selling for about £20, well pleased.
