Afternoon,
I've been running through the steps to improve the performance of a slow PC. It's got better, but the holy grail of being on the Internet within 60 seconds of startup is still a little distant; currently it's 3.5 minutes.
Can anyone give any hints or tips from this log? It'll need to be in idiots terms to give me half a chance of understanding it.

stop these running using msconfig, startup

Time for the first of my idiot questions. Take 'SpeedupmyPC' for instance. I uninstalled this yesterday using Add or Remove programs. It no longer shows up there, or in the start menu, but is picked up by the Hijack log. Is there something else I need to do with it?0 -

tick and fix this using hijackthis
