The reply was: They have no plans to change the colour of the font (from red back to black), but have passed the suggestion to the development team.
Not sure why the colour of the font is so important to them. I can't read red on white backgrounds, and I'm sure this is the same for other people with dyslexia ...0 -
I enter by hand, but I normally enter my mob plus my landline plus hubbies mob- but since the change it only remembers my mob (chrome) so I keep having to enter my full landline and hubbies mob- very time consuming.2012 wins = £933 :j
2013 wins so far = £4,025 :j
July wins: Holiday to Marbella :j0 -
I use an add on on firefox called lazarus
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lazarus-form-recovery/
you then just click the right button on the mouse when form is showing and then 'recover form' and it adds all details back in - you just need to re enter captcha
I received this info from the forum previously, but cannot remember whom it was, so thank you very much whomever you are!
hope I've explained that ok

Will give that a go thanks.
I've always used the snaplinks add on and opened as many tabs as needed for the comp then just filled them in with roboform. It has meant i am always having the correct amount of tabs open so know i have entered the correct amount of times. It also meas i can have lots of comp tabs open without having to go backwards and forwards on the main page.

I find the Woman's Weeky dailies hard to see - they use a light turquoise colour for their multiple choice and I have to squint and get up close to the screen to read them against the white back ground! Why don't companies just use black and white!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Whilst I find it annoying that with the ITV competitions, I cannot simply reload the page, I do not have a problem with reading the text, regardless of colour. I am aware that there are guidelines laid down about accessibility of websites, for disabled people etc. This includes people with sight problems or dyslexia. I had a quick look at wiki and it goes into some detail, if anyone with real problems wants to have a look at what is laid down (By following the links on wiki, as wiki themselves may not be totally up to date) and then contact ITV.

If a big company such as ITV are fobbing you off, it might provoke them a bit, if you asked something on the lines of "Could you tell me if you have an accessibility officer, who is responsible for ensuring that your website complies with relevant legislation? Could you let me have their email address please?"
Merely the fact that you are asking might make them think twice.0 -
The RNIB have useful guidance on website accessibility
http://www.rnib.org.uk/professionals/webaccessibility/lawsandstandards/Pages/uk_law.aspxFor instance, it may be unlawful for a website to
.......
use text, colour contrasting and formatting that make the website inaccessible to a partially sighted service user0 -
Thanks for the info Marg, I will reply to ITV, regarding web accessibility, and see what happens0

You will have to DELETE the profile and start from scratch. (You can't, I found, amend the profile for some strange reason.) You do this in Settings/Advanced Settings/Passwords and forms/Manage Autofill settings. The trick is when you enter your phone number you LEAVE OUT THE LEADING ZERO. So 01234 567890 is entered as 1234 567890. Chrome will now infill correctly including the leading zero.
Thanks so much for this!!! the '44' has been driving me nuts for ages!!! :Tmortgage £800 overpayment 2022. £600/£2400 2023 🙂 savings £1853/£1800 😊0 -
In FF a simple tip to change the font colour back to black, is to click 'view' in the 'menu bar' then scroll down to 'page style' and set to 'No Style'
This is not a permanent solution though, you have to go through the above every time you open the ITV page.
In IE - Internet Options you can set the browser to ignore web site font colours using the accessibility button, bottom right corner of the Internet options General tab, check the top option, 'ignore colours specified on web pages' then hit OK.0
