Morning!
Probably a stupid question - mosty of my techie ones are - but I was wondering if you can cache webpages (or even whole sites) to view offline?
I'm planning on buying a laptop soon and would like to be able to download sites at the weekend for viewing during the week (I don't have internet access during the week). Is this possible?
PS - can anyone advise on the sort of processor I should be looking for on a laptop, it's all double Dutch to me!!
Thanks!

If you use IE6, this function is built-in to the browser - see
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/learnmore/offlineviewing.mspx
There are plenty of programs that download whole websites for you - Google for 'Viewing Web pages Offline' and you will find 100's.
Remember a couple of things, though.
Many sites forbid this under their terms of use, and beware that the size of stored web pages can be huge nowadays (pictures, videos, music etc).0 -
I just save the webpages I want to view offline to my hard disk. File, Save As as you would do with any document.0

Correct - check the help file for IE7 and you will see that that function has been removed. MS now suggests the File > Save As method mentioned by aqueoushumour1 above for IE7.0
