Wootton in Bedfordshire - any opinions?

Hi. I am currently living in Bucks and have decided to go for a complete change of scenery and move to Bedfordshire. I have family in Milton Keynes so I want to be to the South West of Bedford. I have put an offer in on a house in Wootton but have very little information on the type of village that it is, I have been to see the Local Planning officer and have done an environmental search so I know what it's like on paper but I wondered if anyone could give me an idea of how the village actually 'feels' or what the local opinion of it is. Thanks.

Wootton seems OK just stay well clear of Cranfield and Marston Moretaine, neither of which are very popular with people from MK or Bedford so in a bit of no mans land.0

Thanks Tootsie Roll, I appreciate your opinion. I thought about Marston Moretaine as you get an awful lot of house for your money but I was being fussy about the house backing on to open fields and nothing came up at the time I was looking.0
