How Do I Find & Play My Downloaded iTunes Songs?

Hello,

I have brought & downloaded some iTunes songs from iTunes, but can not find where they are to play them.

If I click on purchased it shows the songs & I can click on them to play them, but it is only a sample of the song, not the whole song.

If I go to Library they are not listed.

Can anyone tell me where I will find them & be able to play the whole song's?

Thank You

Are you using the latest iTunes 11? If not, which version?

It asked me to update it the morning before I brought the songs so it is the latest one

Are they perhaps in the Cloud and not physically on your computer?

Are you using mac or windows? Have you got the Sidebar hidden or shown (VIEW menu >> Show Sidebar). Did you really download the demos or just listen to them? More info please.

    Hello sorry back again

Ok I have a Windows 7 home premium laptop.

I clicked start typed in the name of the song & a pop up box comes up with the song picture & you can play it the full song.

I can't find it in iTunes which does not bother me as I have all my music on the windows media player.

What I would like to know is when this window pop's up so I can play the song, if I right click a box of options come up with the options of:

    Library
    Plug ins
    Privacy
    Security
    DVD
    Network
Player (which is the option selected to play the song)
    Rip music
    Devices
    Burn
    Performance

If I select the rip music option it say's:

Rip music to this location C:\Users\Tracey\Music

    Rip settings:

Windows media auto, clicked on that & brings up:
    Windows media auto pro
Windows media audio (variable bit rate)
    Windows media audio lossless
    MP3
    WAV (lossless)

    Two tick box's:
    Copy protect music
    Rip CD automatically
    Eject Cd after ripping

What box's do I need to change to make the song appear in my media player?

    Thank You

  • The "rip" settings are about turning CDs into MP3 or similar and not what you are looking for at all.

Do the songs play in iTunes ?

Assuming they do (and since you bought them from iTunes I guess they do) then they are in the location iTunes says the library is in.

    No

They don't play in iTunes. I click on purchased which brings up all the songs I have brought.

I click on one to play it, but it only plays a small bit of it, like when you try before you buy.

I can not find the whole song on iTunes.

The only way I can play the songs is if I click on start & type the name of the song & then it pop's up in a box which I can then play the whole song.

You have to do this for every song which is a right pain

I am trying to find where on iTunes the whole song's I brought are

If you click on the Itunes icon on your desktop, then go to the blue bar on the left side of the page, right at the top is a section called 'library'. Underneath is a label called 'music'. Click on that and all your music should be there. If you are still having problems, make sure the search box is empty (top right).

    Hope this helps

    Hello,

Iv'e found them. Since the up date there is no blue bar on the left, instead there is the word library on the right side at the top, which does not stand out much at all.

Sure enough there are my songs.

Thank You for all your help
