We were being patient with argos and politely turned down the insurance offer for the Value Convection heater, then for the Nintendo game...... but when it came to the £4.99 lamp.... and the bulb....:rotfl: .... we gave up and spoke our minds! (Soon be more than cost of lamp! Better off chucking in bin and getting new)

I feel sorry for the staff, as I did when I worked in retail, for the decisions made by "upper management" who force them to ask these stupid questions for low value items with the fear of a disciplinary if they do not.0

I've never lived near one.
If I bought batteries in Argos it would have been because I was desperate for batteries for my xbox controller and had just bought a must have game in Argos as they were cheapest on the game.
(Know I should get plug and play controller but cba)0 -

years ago I bought a camera for £99 - the shop tried to sell me insurance for £49.99 - yet reading the small print it had a £50 excess!
The shop assistant could not understand why I didn't want the insurance - spend 15 mins trying to explain it to her ....

It's not their fault, they're the retailers. It's yours if you're dumb enough to buy it0
