Thats really useful to know and something worth looking into before it runs out. It never occurred to me to extend the warranty. She doesnt have that many miles on the clock for 3 years probably around 20 or less if that makes any difference.
Do you mean yours cost around £720 for the three years?
Ours also low mileage - but we have a bigger more pricey car and diesel engine. So hopefully your daughters would be less.
You can extend your VW warranty - you should get a letter around now offering that. But I was rather shocked at the number of items not included and the fact that electrics were excluded plus any consequential damage caused by a non insured part. Hence say a cam belt went and ruined the engine you would have no claimWarranty direct cover consquential and even wear and tear damage. Course, the proof of the pudding would be in the eating, but there are a massive amount of good reviews for them.
If you do get a quote from them at the independent garage price, wait a week like I did and see if you get an offer to cover the main dealer labour costs (up to £200 an hour) for the same premium.
Yes, it works out about that for the three years cover. They are also throwing in free MOTs each year at the main dealer0 -
Thanks just wondered. You have got the cambelt/tensioners/coolant pump replacement cost next year to look forward to!
