Mains to usb power supply ?

I have a cordless mouse that recharges in a docking station which is connected to the pc by usb.
Unfortunately it only charges while the computer is on so when I'm not using it it's either in sleep mode or switched off meaning it doesn't get much time to charge.
Is there such a thing as a usb power supply that plugs into the mains so I have a continuous feed ?

Is the charging cradle not also the wireless access bridge for the mouse? If it is then it will always need to be connected to the PC anyway. (Just in case you thought you could leave the cradle only plugged in to the new charger).

Yes that's right,it won't work unless it's plugged into the computer but at least I can just unplug it from the pc and plug it in the charger while the computer is off.....I have front usb ports so it's not a hassle

how old is your computer, just upgraded my motherboard to a gigabyte model and even when my computer is off the usb is on/powered i usually charge a couple of AA batteries in a £1 usb battery charger.
Something to do with the bios maybe.

Be careful when you buy one of these. I bought one of those cheapie jobs and it just barely managed to charge my MP3 player. 100 mA at 5 Volts just isn't enough power.

Also be warned that this style of cheap chargers have a bad reputation for bursting into flames and ruining kit. Just read the reviews on Amazon.

For comparison my Motorola phone charger delivers 500 mA via a USB mini connector.

As i thought, you 2 have the usb apple charger. you just need to install the charger software.
    http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/ai_charger/

on my gigabyte is called On/Off Charge
    http://uk.gigabyte.com/microsite/185/on-off-charge.htm

basically install the software doesnt use much resources. plug in the usb mouse, when you shutdown your system, mouse will be charged up.
