Obviously it's up to the majority and since I can't come up with an alternative offhand I can't really argue with it, I just wanted to point it out really. I know there's been a lot of new people join the board over the past few years who won't have done it. I suppose what I'm saying is it would be nice to do something new.
EDC x
We could try and do the A-Z a bit different this time or something?
I wasn't here for when you did it last time, was it basically if you win, say, a camera, you can tick off the letter C?
If so, perhaps this time we could do it based on themes or something? Like A is for animal - so win something pet related, or a soft toy animal, etc?
Might be tricky for some letters though.0 -
Well, I've been racking my brains, but I've had an idea (might be terrible LOL).
There are loads of space things going on next year, probes to Venus, etc so I thought we could do something astrological - don't think it's been done before.
There are 12 astrological signs in order starting at Capricorn (January). How about, we try to win (for example) during January, prizes that spell out the word CAPRICORN. Then in February, we would go on to AQUARIUS, etc. I think it might be fun to see who can make the most complete lettered signs by December next year? Or, (just had another think and it's the idea I'm personally going with) we have to go through all of the star signs, so we can't go on to Aquarius until we've spelled out CAPRICORN, so see who gets through to the final sign first. That's what I'm doing, already sorted my signature. My brain hurts now
Anyway, feel free to shoot me down in flames but I thought it might be cool and good fun. I think I'll give it a crack anyway :rotfl:
Let me know what you think, peeps :beer:MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0 -
Personally, I would think myself lucky if I won one prize each month, never mind one of each letter of Capricorn in January alone. :rotfl:
I think that I would have to give any challenge that required winning as many competitions as that a wide berth. How about winning a prize beginning with J in January, F in February, M in March etc.?0 -
Sorry same as above. Its a bit too much for me, the starsign idea. Good idea, but I will give that one a miss.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday

Hey, I can't help being an optimist :rotfl:

I like the star sign one, however can appreciate that many people do not have the time to spend (waste :rotfl:) entering loads of comps each day, so the letter of the month one may be more achievable.
Or perhaps we could have both running, I usually have too much time on my hands (am a lazy sod lol) so could hopefully achieve both xxI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I like this one and the A-Z one the best.
I like the idea of the starsign one but it would be very hard to go anywhere with it unless you're very lucky. Also, I can't think of anything that begins with Q in Aquarius.2019 Wins
