I mentioned this bank the other day but as it was in the middle of another thread it was perhaps overlooked.

checked it out as much as I can.
Anyone banked with them?

Yes - I applied for an 18 Month Bond earlier this week.
Tuesday - applied online and set temp Password up and then received Email confirmation within the hour.
Today - received Username and confirmation of Account details in the Post.
I have been online and activated the Login details etc.
Seems a very similiar online setup to Aldermore which is very good.
Just need to fund the Account now which is being done by DD next week.0 -
After an e-mail to them re identification verifying and a phone chat.
i decided to go ahead with this application.
They ask for passport and driving licence numbers on the form.
so hope that is enough.
One good thing is that once the application has been approved you have 30 days in which to send your deposit.
Ironically my bank sort code and account no. were not recognised, didn't seem to be too much of a problem after a phone call to G.E.
That is merely for when the bond matures/interest options and can be sorted out now if I sent them the info in a free-post envelope.
The Cheshire ( I have a 2 year bond maturing soon) could only offer me 2.7% for 2 years as a previous customer, would have been so much easier to stick with them but every little helps.0 -
Their bond offer certainly didn't last long! Only savings accounts available now...0

Thought it wouldn't last long.
Very efficient service, application accepted within a couple of days.
Even if you changed your mind within 14days of opening your account, they would return your deposit with interest!0
