Adults 'doing Santa'?

Don't laugh....!!

Does anyone else with no children still 'do Santa'?

We do :D although we put most of our presents for each other under the tree we both keep some small presents back and then on Christmas Eve, we each put out a stocking and the other one sneaks out in the night to fill it :D it worked better in our old house when we actually had two fireplaces in two separate rooms to put the separate stockings by (they can't be in the same place you see or the person who fills the stocking second will see their presents in their stocking! :rotfl:) but we manage in our new house by putting them in different rooms! :rotfl:

The best year for me was the first Christmas I spent away from home and not only did OH do me a stocking but, unbeknownst to me, both my mum AND my best friends had done me stockings and secretly passed them to OH (as I was sad abut my first 'grown up' Christmas with no visit from Santa...) so I woke up in the morning to THREE bulging stockings! Despite being in my twenties I really did think Santa had been that year :A

Even though obviously I know the presents are from OH I do still get a huge amount of childish excitement from getting presents that I haven't seen under the tree for the last couple of months, and I genuinely get that amazing childish thrill if I sneak out in the night to peek at my stocking...

Anyway...I was reading another thread and someone commented that their presents for their partner were already wrapped and in the stocking...which made me think 'oh, how do they put the stocking out for Santa then?'..........which led me to thinking 'uh oh, maybe we're weird?!?!'

So.........are we? :D

We don't do Santa, but we talk about presents from Santa, eg if the other half is going on about getting something I tell him from about August not to buy anything for himself as he never knows what Santa is going to bring!
This will be the first year when I haven't had to drive home for Christmas so he can't even fill my stocking this year as it will be hidden with all his stuff in it! Suppose we'll have to take year about for that one!

I like how you're keeping the magic of Christmas alive for yourselves!

We don't put any of our presents under the tree until Christmas Eve then we have huge smiles on our faces when we see them all for each other :rotfl:

I think you may know from the weddings thread, but 2 years ago I dressed as a very sexy santa and ran outside with a pizza box on Christmas morning.

Rang the bell and OH came and I said 'delivery for you'!

He was too busy falling about the hallway laughing to even think I had tickets to Rome in the pizzabox (notice how creative I (thought I) was there...)

    :D We 'do santa'.

Every year Santa buys us a boardgame. (Which is some feat given most boardgames nowadays need more than 2 players, or teams).

This year Santa did something different - he came early (cause he's such a busy man) and dropped his gift off on Sunday (it was supposed to be the Saturday but we weren't in). It was a wasgij Christmas jigsaw. Santa was hoping it would keep us busy until Christmas Eve... but unfortunately we finished it in 3 nights!!

I REALLY want a sign that says 'We Believe' to put up in the front window :)

    I prefer this one:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Distressed-cream-metal-Christmas-hanging-sign-We-believe-/300788928241?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item46086acef1

Lol but I can't bring myself to buy it... I can't help but feel I don't "NEED" it so I shouldn't get it.

Funnily enough, even though we won't be spending the actual days together, it's OH's and my first Pretend Christmas living together and we're doing stockings from Santa too. I hadn't thought about the person who gets up second seeing theirs though!
