Sony - Product Registration ARGHHH

God damn it, this is a small thing but really !!!!es me off.

You cannot register the new ps3 slim 12gb models on the sony.co.uk website. Why? Because they haven't bothered to update their website to incorporate new models. I can not stand it when companies do this, it's not just Sony but you'd think they could implement this feature before selling a product. Now I have to look out and check back every so often to see when they've bothered to add the new models.

I like to register every new product as soon as purchased for extra peace of mind and to open up any benefits associated with registration, primarily, warranty.

Get your act together, a company as large as Sony should not be over looking such a simple thing.

Main point was time saving. Filling out a card, means waiting alot longer for confirmation especially factoring in there's no "free" method of confirming delivery and chances are confirmation would be scarce come non-existent. I still wouldn't see it online and should I need to the ability to RMA wouldn't necessarily be there.

You do not NEED to register your products with anyone.
It does NOT affect your warranty. You are merely signing up to a mailing list/database.

Yes I am surprised some one with a username of "antispam" is prepared to hand over their personal details to a big company like Sony!
