Just setup my son's cot MOthercare Newbury Cot http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000IYRFY2/sr=1-3/qid=1177106765/ref=sr_1_3/203-0541760-2637535?ie=UTF8&mcb=core) for new baby arrival and we have the "Barrel Nut" and also the "right dropside catch" missing. Odering from store would cost over £7 is there a cheaper option?

Was the cot new? If so they should replace it freely. Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.

I think if you read the OP's post, it was their older son's cot which they've set up again for their new baby's arrival.
So it's not new and not guaranteed - they've just lost the bits.0 -
Oh yeah - whoops! Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.

Any hardware store should stock them - bring one along to show them the correct size. They are not expensive.0

I tried everywhere to get a replacement for my sisters cot changer hand me down.
Could only get them from mamas and papas
If you have lots of time, try a few hardware stores, if not, go straight to mothercare for the bits.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Thanks for your feedback...I have a local hardware store.. I'll try this one and if not then I'll have to fork out the extra money at Mothercare.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

And the money that you have to spend at mothercare will be money well spent - please, please check your cot properly as you are doing - there was a very tragic accident that has been in the news locally of a baby coming to a tragic end due to missing parts when the cot was being assembled. The recommendations from the inquest of course was for regular checking of compontents of such as cots.0

Thanks for this info Inkie. I have the orginal instructions and I am very practical minded and have made sure all in fitted propertly. I just need these who part then all is done. Thanks again as there is nothing wasted in being extra causious when it comes to our safety especially for children.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson
