Blue screen!! Windows 7 Acer Laptop

HELP
Daughters laptop computer has a problem
Has been playing up for a while (slow) - she has been downloading minecraft texture packs and this is where I think the problem has come from.
Was running a Mccaffee BT Net Protect Plus Virus checker and it came up with something I didn't catch and reset itself and then came up with "Windows has recovered form an unexpected shutdown" I started the computer in safe mode - what can I do now??
The problem is as follows

Problem signature
Problem event name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:

BCP4: FFFFF8800352B160
OS Version: 6_1_7601

C:\Windows\Minidump\120512-30373-01.dmp
C:\Users\Mummy and Daddy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-46098-0.sysdata.xml

not clear if it starts in normal mode or not?

acers have a factory restore partition (and a means of creating the windows disc), you could reset it to factory defaults in 10 minutes, but will lose all data on the c: drive - if windows doesn't start, you could get the data off with a boot disc first.

    see erecovery in the manual.

the likelihood is they will do a factory restore, which you could do yourself in less than the time it takes to get there.

backup any data before you do either.

I strongly advise you not to do that if you have essential data on the laptop that isn't backed up safely and externally.

It is highly likely that PC World will just wipe and reinstall everything. You could do that yourself with less effort anyway.

    boot, hold down alt F10

you might not see it for some time if the power connector on the motherboard is faulty, assuming it is actually covered by whatever support you are paying for.
