I remember seeing one in Dudley when I worked there "we'm closing early for are Xmas doo"
    Genius.
  • There's a shop near me advertising "Christma's Wreath's" ... if in doubt, add an apostrophe it seems!

Indeed! Apostrophes are one of the main grammar issues I come across in signs etc.

Living in Japan I regularly encounter some hilarious attempts at English. Sometimes it's so awful I have no idea what it is actually meant to mean without referring to the Japanese.

Here is a pic I took in a tourist information office:

A garage near me wanted a 'Fourcourt Attendant', apparently.

In Derby bus station there are the cryptic safety notices at each stand.
Please do not board the bus once the driver has closed the bus doors and is reversing off the stand

I had a Saturday job in the local green grocers. The boss hand wrote a sign advertising bunches of 'enemas' at 50p each.

Wow that's really good value. Usually costs me quite a bit for just one!

    LOL

Took DD to the GP recently. There was a sign, above the signing in screen, about the number of missed appointments.

A very smartly-dressed lady took out a marker pen and added an omitted apostrophe. I was both awed and impressed she dare.

IIRC the apostrophe was added to a sentence about wasting the doctor's time.
