Unable to connect to the internet

All of a sudden for no apparent reason the netbook says "Unable to connect to the internet." Error 106. The internet connection has been lost. I have a wireless modem and the connection is OK on my desktop. Any ideas? I am not an expert.

It could either be a firewall or av incompatability problem.

What OS are you running? If you are connecting by wireless (you don't say) then make a temporary connection by ethernet. If it works, then it's just a wireless issue-start by changing the wireless channel.

Assuming you are using Chrome. There are several other scenarios and solutions but you've not provided enough information to pick the right one.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am on Windows XP and a wireless connection. I will find an ethernet cable and check it out. It was working OK until yesterday and my desktop is OK.
