Does anyone else have problems with buyers not reading their messages via ebay?

I'm getting fed up with people who say they haven't had their "nice" payment reminders or asking when I am going to post their item when I have already sent them a message via ebay.

Yesterday I had an agitated buyer saying it's about time her parcel had arrived yet I had messaged her the same day that I posted it (Special Delivery).

On investigation it's been taken back to the depot because no-one was in.

Just what does one have to do to get through to these people? :mad: :eek:

Ebay is bad at emailling on messages. If you don't log on regularly, chances are, you won't get your message for a day.

the ebay messaging system needs a good look at. I always get situations where I receive an email saying that I've won an item and then a couple of hours or even a day later I get one saying that I'm now the highest bidder or that I've been outbid. Completely stupid. As for paypal, once I never received an email saying I had received payment. Luckily I was on top of things and I logged regularly into my account otherwise I'd have never known I'd been paid by the buyer.

Maybe I was being unfair then but I do wonder if they are telling porkies regarding not receiving messages.

If they are on AOL then they might genuinely not receive ebay messages.

Also, I'm coming across more and more people with super secure spam traps..I'm getting a bit fed up with getting automated messages saying that Miss xxx has a spam trap and to ensure my message is accepted I need to follow a link and submit some details so the spam bot can decide if I am genuine or not...frankly they will never get a message from me. I usually add a note to my packign slip saying I apologise for lack of comms but if they log into ebay they will see I have tried to contact them, but the messages are refused due to their spam bot.

I don't get my messages on my front page sometimes I have to click Messages at the side to find some!!!

Well I never got 2 messages through ebay until yesterday.....thankfully they were regular type, I said I had posted item, he replied thanks , then the next day emailed that he had got it and would post feed back which he did. I never saw........ i dont use my 'ebay hotmail account ' at all ....its full of ebay stuff!!! So if there had been a problem I would not have known about it for over a week, and they def werent there.... and I only got the message that I had recieved a message yesterday! I have been on ebay every day, so had cleared out other messages a couple of days ago.
