get rid of all the rubbish in my taskbar?
I don't know how I did it but I must have down loaded something and my taskbar is full of adverts for this that and the other. When I log onto a page, I get a popup that seems to be connected to the subject I've got on the screen. Help! I want to revert back to a plain taskbar.
I have a popup blocker but it does not stop the popups.

You can usually uninstall things like toolbars from add/remove programs.
Alternatively, right click on the toolbar and untick anything you want to get rid off although try to unistall if you can so that they are gone forever.0 -
Thanks for the reply. I have looked in add/remove and the google taskbar is not in there to remove.0

in IE7 do you mean at the top or the bottom.
if at the top
right-click on an empty place on the top bar,
go to customize command bar
then go to add and remove commands
you can add/remove anything from here.
alternately,
if you mean loads of different address bars, tool bars,
righ-click at the top,
un-check which ever ones you dont want,
this should get rid of some and give you more desktop space.
