DLA Renewal

Hi hope this is the right board to post on. I've just helped my sister fill in her first renewal for DLA for her 5 year old and was just wondering how long renewals were taking at the moment?

Some people have reported a couple of months, others days.
Unfortunately, there seems to be little rationale to the delays.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. My sister uses the DLA to pay for extras like play therapy and is worried that they'll loose the money they need to pay for these things for my nephew. He was only awarded HRC and only for a year and it's made a huge difference to his life.

Thanks again, I guess it's just a waiting game.

My neighbour waited a few weeks for his wife's renewal. I then helped him query increasing his wife's MRC to HRC and this was agreed, and the money paid into his bank in under a week!
