Garmin very kindly sent me the new update DVD city navigator NT Europe v9 for streetpilot i3.
I've unlocked everything...entered all codes...loaded the maps to my pc etc etc....
..one question.....
..how do you get the new maps onto the Garmin device
I've tried everything
I've been trying to do this for 2 hours now

As far as I remember you have to use the 'map tool' icon to select the areas of the map you want (the maps turn pink and the description appears in the left pane. Then you highlight the items in left pane and click on 'send to device' icon. I intend to add some maps of France to a micro sd card soon, so let me know if this isn't what you need.0

I may be wrong but I understand that any new mapping overwrites the existing mapping, so select the largest area that is required that will fit on the card.:hello:0

Be careful what you do when updating the maps.
I've nearly thrown this !!!! of a sat nav through the window
I eventually loaded the new maps onto the unit using the same advice given previously....although I got my advice from elsewhere.
My unit froze after pressing the first button after set up. Garmin asked me to send it to them, which I did.
I got it back 2 days later, they said they had replaced it as the buttons had broke.
The new unit didnt even have any maps loaded on it, so, I loaded the new v9 maps and the same happened. I've had to send it back to garmin.
I'm still waiting for it to come back. I cant believe they didnt load the maps on it and test itIf only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!
