I have a Laserjet 4L, it's probably about 10 years old but the quality I get is excellent. Unfortunately, it stopped working the other day, when I tried to print something, all 4 lights came on which I've never seen before. I've looked on the HP website for help, but they don't even show the 4L anymore! Anyone got any ideas?

Hi,
A couple of sites for you to try.
http://www.laserpage.com/ - if you hit the 'support options' link at the top it takes you to various FAQs. I'm sure if you post there someone will be able to help - they did for me & my LJ4.
also try http://www.fixyourownprinter.com - i haven't trawled through it yet but its on my to-do list.

Thanks DVB. I'll have a look but I'm pretty sure I've been there before!Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

To be honest, you can pick one of these up fully functioning for a few quid from Ebay. There is one there for £7 with 17 hours to go. I have a 4050TN which I got for about £100 four years ago - when it goes bang - it goes in the bin.0
