Our hen party stayed in "wootton" lodge it was beautiful!
I did admit we were a hen party, looking for somewhere big enough for us to gather together and that we were very sensible.
What may be different is that we were just a hen party of 6 aged between 25 and 60.

We were allowed to make a booking for 3 nights (that was the min they allowed) - though we only needed to stay for 2 due to work commitments, and we still feel we got our money worth. We paid about £80 each I think? once it was split between us

I usually think honesty is the best policy normally but there are some lies you can try (though I reckon they'll have heard it all before), works/team weekend away / group of family friends or couples holiday. I think though as these lodges are designed for large get togethers you shouldn't have a problem, especially as you are a mixed sex group.

We did a wedding fayre at Wootton a couple of months ago they have glamping pods too now absolutely stunning definitely worth a go if you combined them with the lodge there.

For my friends hen party we told a couple of lies to secure a cottage for the weekend in the lakes. We found a lot of places were unwilling to rent for hen parties, but were happy enough when we said it was a school reunion. I'm sure what some of these places think you're going to get up to, especially since the place we rented was miles from anywhere, apart from one pub which was a 10 min walk on a little country road with no lights (that was a fun walk back in the rain after a few drinks, and random cattle grids which you couldn't see).

10 of us rented a cottage in the lakes for around £60 each for a weekend. We just played games, drank and cooked great food all weekend, and it came with a hot tub too so a lot of our time was spent in there. Didn't see a problem with lying because we knew we wouldn't be getting up to typical hen party behaviour, just wanted a nice relaxed weekend.

Have you considered just renting hotel rooms in a fun city. Most of the main cities are full of great days out and activities for hen and stag parties. Plus most city accommadation is hen and stag friendly.

North sunderland and Sunderland are two different places x
