EnergySmart no longer working since switching provider?
We've just moved from British Gas to First Utility and our EnergySmart Meter has stopped working.
From what I can remember there's no great technical intricacy with these gadgets, so is it simply a massive coincidence and the batteries ran out on the receiver or are these more intelligent than I thought and British Gas have killed it?

When you leave Brit Gas , your smart meter reverts to being an ordinary, or "dumb " meter.Smart switching so far has nt been enabled.0

Smart meters are not universal in operation between suppliers, absurd though that is.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

The energysmart meter is just an energy monitor. No reason why it should not continue to work. Unless FU have fitted a Smart Meter and thrown away the sender unit. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

It's the energy monitor not an actual meter, I guess it's just coinkydink and the batteries died in the sender...0
