Joint Life & CI-how much on average?

Now I know this will obviously vary from situation to situation ,but I had a conversation with an agent from Life Search who, after running through some deatils suggested I look at a policy of decreasing joint life and CI cover on a mortgage of 115K with BUPA costing £52 a month(Level Term £72).
I would prefer level term for obvious reasons, but I'm currently in the market to remortgage and will need to see if these fall within budget etc..

Could I ask if this sounds reasonable for a couple like ourselves with no current or history of health problems, non smokers .

I'll investigate further if this sounds expensive..

Thanks for any advice
Terry

Was it budget CI or comprehensive?
Was it guaranteed premiums or reviewable?

We dont know you age, occupations, smoker status, lifestyle or health so we cant really say if it is expensive or not.

We're both 37 next birthday, non smokers with no current or history of medical problems, including our parents. Both work in offices and neither of us participate in any dangerous sporting activities.

I beleive this is a reviewable quote and only know that its comprehensive based on the fact it came out top of a broker search if that helps

    Thanks for the ongoing advice

Reviewable is cheaper than guaranteed. It could be either comprehensive or budget depending on the criteria you gave the adviser.

The price given the info is in the ballpark you would expect. You can ask to see the price research and product research. That would satisfy you as to where the price sits compared with other providers and where it sits on quality of product.
