Now that summer is almost upon us I went for a search for some Birkenstocks.
The average RRP is around £49.99 with them being around £27.99 on Ebay. I found A German site which will ship them to you and the average price is about £20. If you order 3 pairs or more for the UK delivery then there is no delivery. I did this so I've got a few different styles but you could always ask a friend if they want a pair too and save on delivery.

You can pay by all the usual methods and the site is in English and everything is explained. Takes around 2 weeks to deliver although I ordered mine around Easter so did take slightly longer but you can track the progress of your order online.
They do the kids Birkenstocks too but I thought these were a little overpriced so I've just gone for the imitation Birkenstocks for my son.
Hope this helps someone with their comfy summer wardrobe!

I've ordered from that site before too, they were helpful and much cheaper than high st shops. They don't take returns though (they didn't 12 months ago), so it is worth trying on a pair of birkenstocks in a shop to know your size before ordering, as their sizes seem to be large.0

Yes I agree. I think the general advise is to order a size below your normal size. There is advise about returns on the site, don't think they take returns for any of the sale items.
With it being in Germany it will always be very longwinded to sort out returns so I too would second trying them in a UK shop first. For stockists go to https://www.birkenstock.co.uk0 -
nightmare! Have just returned from Florence where I paid about £36 for someTried and Tested0

My daughter got some recently from Costco and although she can't remember the exact price , thinks they were about £15Same old same old since 20080

Have to agree, costco is a great place for birkenstocks at the moment. £18 but they only have Madrid style in brown and pink when I went in a couple of weeks ago.0

These are £30 on ASOS, there's only white left at the moment thoughIf you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in0

Thanks Manchester_Lucy, that looks a good site, possibly much better than my usual.
I've bought from this German company before:
http://www.jestelkg.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant2/merchant.mv+
with prices on the "bargains" being comparable to what you found.
However, a word of caution with jestel, my credit card processing timed out on one occasion and I found it impossible to make constructive dialogue with them. I simply had to wait to see what turned up, if anything at all. Ditto another parcel which took an inordinate amount of time to deliver last year, and by whichever method I employed on the site to track the order, it simply wasn't possible.
My sizing advice:
Width is as important than length to get right. I buy my usual size, but regular is simply too wide and with these I need a narrow (not so for normal UK shoes). If you can try on in a UK shop, do it! If the sizing is wrong you won't wear them, they'll be uncomfortable as they are moulded. But if you get the sizing right, you won't want to wear anything else.
I feel another pair of taupe suede Arizona is needed soon, (my staple), so thanks, I'll try german shoes on line this time!0 -
Well it looks like German Shoes Online deliver to every country ever known. (I found myself going through the different countries and not knowing most of them!)
I decided to get the 'normal' width as my feet are quite wide and they fit perfectly, I know some of my friends though who would be swamped in the 'normal' fitting.
I got some Gizehs from the Pappillo range which is a bit more funkier than the standard style colours.
All I need now is the blooming summer to arrive so I can show them off!0 -
I'm not keenly aware of or knowledgeable about the latest trends, but are these the new hip craze out this summer?0

Not sure if they are the hip craze this summer, they certainly were about 2 or 3 years ago. With some, they will always be hip! They are just so comfy and good for your feet. Even Scholl copied the moulded cork footbed (much kinder than wood)!
I'm so hooked I have Arizona, Bahama, Bali, Florida, Milano and Zurich. (And that list has just stopped my trying out that site right now!)0
