Extra Supplement after Paying Invoice!! Advice Needed Please!

Hi,
I bought the following deal of kgb deals yesterday morning
http://www.kgbdeals.co.uk/national/deals/155929/london-or-birmingham-city-apartment-break---city-nites---national
I selected the 3 night 1 bedroom apartment option for £139, and called up to book my stay upon receiving the voucher code 5 minutes later.
The woman I spoke to informed me that bookings using the voucher had to be made via email, had no problem with this so fired them an email with the location of Canary Wharf apartments & dates I wanted.
Later on yesterday afternoon I received an email back informing me the location & dates I requested were available & the booking was confirmed. They also asked for my credit card details to charge me an additional £120 (a £40 per night supplement).
Now here is where the problem lies.
When I bought the kgb voucher, there was no mention of this £40 supplement, apart from at London Aldgate which was only available between xmas & new year, or if you selected the Birmingham option a supplement would be charged for weekend nights. There was no mention of this £40 per night supplement for the Canary Wharf appartment.
This morning I then received this email from kgb customer support
"
Dear kgbdeals customer,
Firstly, we'd like to thank you for using kgbdeals and we hope you're enjoying saving money on the things you love to do and buy.
Our apologies for the inconvenience this may cause you. We have recently been advised by City Nites that all canary wharf bookings incur a £40 per night supplement, not just for the 23rd – 28th of December as advertised.
Should you have any queries regarding this, please visit http://kgbdeals-gb.custhelp.com/app/email_us to make your enquiry.
Kind regards,
kgbdeals Customer Support "
Where do I stand with this? The deal has now been amended and states the supplement charges, but as I bought the voucher previous to this being stated can they charge me for this? Or if city nites insist this be paid, should kgb cough up as it was their mistake not mine!
Thanks in advance!

Either pay the supplement or get a refund from kgbdealsOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Thanks for the reply, but I don't see why I should have to do either, as when I purchased the voucher there was no mention of any supplements to be charged.
Also feel it is very misleading in any case, why not just charge £40 per night to the cost of the vouchers available?0 -
A mistake/miscommunication was made, so you can either accept the modified contract, or be put back in your original position, ie get a refund. You are not entitled to have kgbdeals pay the extra. Have a read of the sticky at the top of the forum about whether shops have to sell at the advertised price. It's the same concept here. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

I doubt it is KGB deals fault they will go on the information provided to them.0

exactly, this is why I don't feel I should have to pay anything extra! I am still awaiting a reply from kgb customer support, but it did say it would take 1-2 days for a reply. Also sent an email to city nites stating this, awaiting their reply also
Thanks for the advice guys0 -
Actually, if it were me, I think I would be holding them to the contract I had entered (i.e. without the surcharge).0

Does it not depend on the T&Cs as to when the contract is/was formed?0

And how precisely would you do that?Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Argue it. If they refused, pay under protest and sue for the overcharge. If necessary, invoke s.75 CCA.0 -

And how is S75 going to fit in here ????
Origonal purchase was for a voucher. Which was provided, so no breech of contract or missrepresentation.
Surcharge will be @ £40 a night and debited to a seperate company. As well as under the £100 limit....
Even if it was fiddled to show £120. The retailer will come back with T/C and details of the offer....
No breech of contract or missrepresentation.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
