Sorry for another tablet question!
I went into HMV earlier today and found myself looking at tablets, they had this one on special offer...
http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=289;16;-1;-1;-1&sku=624928
I had a play with the model instore and it seemed pretty good - good size, screen ok, loaded web pages quickly etc, but I'm dubious as it seems so cheap for the size - obviously I appreciate its not going to be great for the cost!
Anyone got any opinions, as I don't know to much about tablets and their operating systems etc.
I already have a smartphone, a kobo ereader and a laptop, so really only want this to fiddle with, maybe play games like angry birds etc on, possibly access iplayer and love film if that's possible... I don't actually need a tablet, but love my gadgets and hubby has offered to buy it for Xmas so opinions welcome.

It will do the job you want except for watching films from lovefilm as there app is LOVFILM By post not to stream films.
Has plenty of connectivity, micro sd, hdmi, micro usb host and slave.
Obviously not going to be as fast the dual or quad core tablets, but is ok for price.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Thank you
Forgot about not being able to stream from the love films app, as I have the app on my phone! Could I stream them from the website (as I do on my laptop) rather then using the app I wonder...?
I appreciate the processor is not going to be very "fast" combined to some, but I'm guessing I'd pay a lot more for duel/quad cores?0 -
the tablet is ok for the price, as some of the features are good for the price of the tablet such as bluetooth however for a bit more there is something like this
http://www.ebuyer.com/407318-sumvision-cyclone-voyager-tablet-pc-cycvoy101
duel core processor, better screen resolution, bigger screen (10.1 not 9.7), 16gb storage instead of 8gb and runs android jelly bean instead of ice cream sandwich,
but doesnt have bluetooth and only has a 12 month warrenty instead of 2 years - also bare in mind that since its jelly bean and not ice cream sandwich flash is not supported - however since flash is being phased out (android no longer supports it, and neither do apple) in favour of html5 i doubt it will be a problem in most instancesDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Just tried the love film site on galaxy tab 2, says streaming not possible on linux. So guess not. Seems it will work on kindle fire HD, which is no surprise as amazon own lovefilm. So they may not bring an android app for it any time soonMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

Thanks for all the opinions.
I knew love film works on kindle, but was forgetting they are owned by amazon, so that explains it not working on anything Android I guess.
Gonzo127 - thanks for the link, that one looks very tempting too, could you tell me the difference between ice cream and jelly bean please?0 -
realistically the differences are generally minor as its just a incremental update from ICS (ice cream sandwich) a reasonable look through it is - http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/google-android/3367078/android-41-jelly-bean-review/?pn=1
otherwise just google 'difference between jelly bean and ics' and it comes up with a loads of resorces which give a run down from different perspectivesDrop a brand challenge
