Runner bean trench
Just dug my trench to plant next years runner beans in, this time of year it should be full by New Years Day.
Not grown runners before, just followed the advice in Gardeners World magazine, any one any thoughts on what to add apart from the peelings, tea bags etc?

Manure, compost bin contents that are only half rotted, ie the stuff that isn't friable enough for the garden or pots.
A lining of the trench with cardboard or several layers of newspaper may help water retention which is what runner beans love.0 -
