Where shall I put my money

Just wanted to get some advice on where to put my money.
By April I should have £4000 in my ISA. Would it be best to lock that in a fixed rate ISA then put there stop my savings in a separate ISA or just keep the two together.
Just any advice would help. Like. Said I will hopefully have £4000 by April then be saving £400-£500 a month.

Assuming it's a cash ISA - what is the AER on your ISA? Is the rate due to drop soon?

For how long can you lock your money away?

Which if any Regular Savings accounts do you have?

What pension provisions do you have?

My ISA is 3.3% until April I think. I don't have any regular savings accounts. I'm looking to buy a house in the next couple of years so don't want to lock it away for more than a year to be honest.

Its normally better to leave it until march before making a decision on your ISA; usually (hopefully) there is a bit of competition for new ISA subscriptions around the end of the tax year, and you should be able to pick up a good deal.

Whether you want to have a fixed deal or start a new separate ISA account is a personal decision depending on your circumstances.

Although you may get a better rate with a new subscription, rather than continuing with the existing ISA, as the rate on existing accounts is bound to drop.

The 8% First Direct Regular Saver could be of interest
