Tuesday 4th December - What small DFW things will you do today?!

Evening!
zepsgal and Pernicious - glad I'm not the only one! OH isn't too bad but I think he gets a bit lazy sometimes!
Have been looking at evil complicated sewing machine. Realised that I don't actually have an cotton the right colour for what I'm doing so it's a moot point.
However, weirdly enough (an annoying re quilting) I don't seem to be able to lower the teeth on it? Thought that would be pretty standard on any reasonable quality machine? Manual says if my machine is equipped with such a choice, that there should be a level to the side of the bobbin housing, and nope, nothing there.
Seems very odd that a machine that can overlock, blind hem, buttonhole and smock can't freehand?
Any ideas guys?
Edit: just signed up for my noddle credit report. Everything fine but it's weird seeing everything there in black and white!!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
