Anyone use Nochex/Fastpay?

Just wondering if any ebayers have had any success/problems offering Nochex or Fastpay as a payment option in your listings? I know that Paypal is the standard, but am thinking of offering these as extra options. Any good, bad or indifferent experiences? Cheers:money:

Nochex is fine, no problems with it at all. No harm done opening an account and offering the option to people. Of course, Paypal has the monopoly since it's purchase by ebay and so I dunno how many will use Nochex now.

I have NoChex and have used them a couple of times but they recently annoyed me when I updated my debit card as they've changed the rules regarding verifying your account. Previously they would refund the charge made to your bank account for verification but now they keep it

In hindsight I needn't have bothered updating my card as I was buying something for less than £100 and you don't need a registered NoChex account to do this so I could have just used my current card anyway

One thing I have noticed about Nochex is they don't allow "chargebacks" like Paypal does..they say it's for "fraud protection" which is obviously good for sellers I suppose, but now has me wondering if that feature could deter buyers?
    Thanks for your comments.
  • well i like paypal, but as a seller get a bit miffed that in effects im paying ebay twice to sell my item...

ive bought using a one off payment from nochex and realised that the reasoin this was offered was because the items were pirates and obv. paypal would have given me my money back, so i am wary but wouldnt discount it altogether from one experience
  • Could put a few off, but if you're a regular seller with good feedback, then they should have no reason to be jittery about buying from you. If they're not going to communicate with seller in the first instance for complaint resolution, perhaps it would be no bad thing to deter them?

I used to offer nochex but I gave up as no one ever took up that payment option and I ended up paying to get my money out as I could never get to the £50 minimum withdrawal limit. Their charges are also not much less than paypals and it is only used in the UK which limits your market even further.

Offering paypal is expensive but I think my end prices are higher than when I don't offer paypal so the prices cover my paypal fees.

As a buyer I don't buy unless I can use paypal and I assume that I'm not the only one who thinks like that. Every time i have paid by cheque I have had problems,

I have both nochex and fastpay accounts, but to be honest I can't recall when they were last used to buy something, let alone have a buyer pay using them.
