Nationwide Flex Regular Saver 1 6% vs Halifax ISA

Hi,

Nationwide Flex Regular Saver 1 (6%)
Halifax ISA Saver Online (2.1%)

I have the above accounts and £400 to start with. From February I am planning to save £250 per month into the regular saver. I might just creep into being a high rate tax payer this year, but I might not.

Where should I put my £400?

Thank you :)

I'd put it in the regular saver for December and January. Once it expires next year, put the end result into the ISA Saver. Next April might get some higher interest ISAs coming about. Maybe.

Bang it in to the regular saver. When it matures, ISA it.

Alternatively just bung it in a pension. That would help keep you under the 40% tax rate.
