If you go through Atlantic for your power and pay by direct debit you should (it's in the contract) receive at the end of one complete year (and each full year thereafter) a credit to your bank of 1 months payments, therefore paying 11 months for 12 months power. Last year Atlantic wrote to me and said I would receive the dosh within 4 days which I did - this year not a dickie bird. I have contacted them but no reply - anyone any thoughts ??

Yes, I got my electricity payment though automatically, but had to ring about my gas one. Perhaps they hope that you may forget...?"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect." - Mark Twain0

Acyually getting through on the phone to speak to a human is easier said than done !!0

I have been with them for 4 years and have always had my payment back without asking.
Did you take out gas and electric at the same time, if not then they presumably payout at the end of each 12 months from the contract date.
I have had to telephone them on numerous occasions and always got through and found there response customer service staff to be very good, always resolving my query to my satisfaction. One occasion was to do with a faulty meter, this was resolved with one call and it worked out to my advantage not charging me for the fact the meter was slowing down and finaly stopped turning.
The 11/12 payment scheme is what has placed then in the top 3 over the last 4 years for best price.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
