Slacking for me, just a little behind target but the year is still young.

Right I have jumped off the SVR rate onto a lower 2 year fixed rate (3.99% to 2.69% :)) This now means I will be on a limited 10% OP of my balance. so from August my OP limit will be around £3.5K only.
This month I can OP as much as I want until my fixed rate kicks in next month.
So I have made the decision to use some of my savings to OP this month and then top them back up next month.
I have also upped my payments each month as well and lowered my term to 4 years :j But I will be using the extra MP on top of my normal MP as a standard OP (if that makes sense) So my normal MP at mo is £716 and my new MP will be £806 so £90 will go towards my OP target.
(this will also change as I looking to make my MPs £875 I think once it starts with a standard OP of £160 but jury is still out on that one at the mo)

SO I have made another OP this month of £750 - this is from my car tax/mot, xmas/bday, house repairs etc... funds (to be put back next month) Total for month is £850, total for year £4850/£6000
It will be hard not to OP willy nilly and I will have to make sure I dont go over the limit for charges but will save save save until the next year that the limit starts again (an even lower limit amount then) Will just have to change my habits somehow. :)
    MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
EMFD was Feb 32  NOW Dec 2013 its Dec 2016
MF new target Dec 16 REACHED!! :j
  • We received our final annual endowment statement yesterday and it wasn't pretty

Am now in a bit of a panic (understatement of the year) and need to up the stakes so have adjusted budget and tightened purse strings so they are stretched to the limit.

Number 135 with an additional overpayment of £146.64 for July

I think that makes me £2869.55/£4000 so am hoping to smash through my year target. I know I need to :o

If I keep telling myself, 12 months from now, we WILL be reporting mortgage free, it will happen :j

    Thanks very much VoucherMan :)
