Be2.co.uk - again - sorry!

Hello all,
I was wondering whether someone might be able to offer some advice. A friend who is from Poland and whose english is not fantastic seems to have fallen prey to the Be2.co.uk, err, "membership scheme" (or scam as I have seen it called!). She's asked me to help her out, but I'm not entirely sure what's the best course of action.
She received an email from be2.co.uk on 20th August saying that "automatic renewal of your Premium Membership has failed due to a problem with your credit card/bank account." She emailed straight back and said she was not interested in the service and that she had already tried to cancel (she says she did so on the site and by email). She's very unclear about what she signed up to and when. So my question is does anyone have any idea about how I can help her?
I read somewhere that you have to cancel by downloading a form, filling it in, signing it and then faxing it off. Surely that can't be right? I'd have thought that those whose english isn't that great would get quite confused with this process and ofcourse those with mobility issues might have trouble trying to get access to a fax machine (I'm assuming that most people don't have a fax machine at home or access to one at work). Surely an email would be enough?
Thank you for taking the time to read this

Just coming back to this as I did a bit of research and I'd really appreciate some input.
I have emailed Be2.co.uk customer services saying that whilst my friend tried to cancel their membership, it appears that Be2.co.uk use a continuous payment authority for future extended access to their site. As such my friend can cancel not only with them, but by stopping payments. I then quoted this:
"In most cases, regular payments can be cancelled by telling the company taking the payments. However, you have the right to cancel them directly with your bank or card issuer by telling it that you have stopped permission for the payments. Your bank or card issuer must then stop them – it has no right to insist that you agree this first with the company taking the payments." (Taken from the updated January 2012 version of the FSA's leaflet: Bank accounts – know your rights.)
which I found on the Guardian website (sorry, I cannot link to the webpage, but if you google: guardian continuous payment authority, that should bring it up).
I did ask them confirm that they would not be pursuing my friend for the so called debt, but I have had no response from them, despite sending the email twice! Do you think it would be wise to also email Intrum Justita who sent my friend a letter demanding payment of the "debt"?0 -
Dear Angel64,
Have you heard anything further from Be2 or their legal representative please ?
Are they still threatening legal action / debt collection ?
Thank you . kind regards :-)0
