Hi guys, I am struggling with this.
I have the printer connected via ethernet cable to the router, but the router is not detecting the printer in the connected dhcp lan clients list, router is a cheap nasty Talktalk D-Link DSL 2680, but I don't think that is the problem.
I am running linux at the moment I have the printer IP from a service printout 192.168.101.227
I am running the default network IP on the router 192.168.1.1.
I don't know how to change the IP on the printer. Installing wine so I can install the printer drivers and software to see if that helps.
Does anybody have any experience with this type of printer?
I tried typing the printer IP into the printer setup program in linux but it's not finding it.

From the IP address you quote, it doesn't look like one it allocated itself due to a DHCP failure.
You could change the router to have an address range of 192.168.101.XX and then the printer would at least be within the router subnet.
I guess you got the printer second hand. The address probably fitted in the previous owners scheme.0 -
I got it sorted...
Installed EpsonNet winAssist in wine and it detected the printer, I reconfigured the IP then did another search with the printer wizard in linux and it found the drivers automatically....
Printing a test page now, fingers crossed!
Yup good to go.To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0
